Help, rocking horse ride, I've got the radials and rears filled with water up to valve stem, at 10 12 mph it rocks for and aft any cures? Do you the rpm control? when I used shuttle shift with fixed throttle position the computer ramps up the rpm quickly and it takes off with lung?

At certain speeds my 9540 does that. Only cure I know is don't drive that speed.

I've never experienced the shuttle issue you describe.

The wheel weights are the weights that Kubota offers for that model, I believe 164 pounds each. Yes I did order it with cast centers and I have added 140 gallons of windshield wash antifreeze to the rear tires. Heavy is good in my world...well for tractors that is. I do like that tractor, I like my L6060, B2650, BX2380 and G5200 also!

If you need that much stability you might have also benefitted from setting the rears out wider. For sure you would have gained ride comfort.

I chose cast centers, three sets of weights and filled the tires for the additional weight, I have no desire to increase track width, no problems with stability, I have no desire to change ride comfort either. The tractor is equipped exactly as I want, it works great for what I want it to do, if I wanted it set up differently, I would have had someone else order it.

No need to be sorry, comment all you like. I think it through, make my choices, place the order and am then quite happy with the result, I am confident in my decisions. I think that the original poster, made his choices for the machine he wanted and I chose to tell him "nice tractor" I assume he bought what he wanted.

My T&T from fiteritehydraulics arrives today long wait, 82" piranha bar is in, front and rear camera and mount, Grammer air seat, radio, wicked 66" grapple, Kubota speed knob, batterminder. Now will finally get to play with new large toy.

I've can compare two M7040's. One has Firestone "DT" radials that have lots of rubber in the center of the tread and ride like a car at higher speeds. This is with cast centers and two rear weights on each side. Zero rocking and I think that's because of that tire.

The second tractor is a cab M7040 with cast rears centers and a lower dollar Firestone tire with a more open tread pattern. This tire is more intended for field work and not really for road comfort and rocks to and fro. Neither tire is loaded so my guess is it's the tread pattern that does the rocking. Ovrszd had the right idea to not drive at that speed or under those conditions and that's what I do.

I've had similar results with bigger tractors and different brands where I had a rocking with one tire, got different tires and no rocking.

It's a frequency issue. The slightest change could make it go away or start. You got lucky.
