I致e been shopping for a new utility tractor, and these two seem to have the most power for my budget. Got a quote of roughly 37k for the Deere and 36k for the kubota. Both open station, mfwd, loader, and fluid in the tires. The kubota has cast rear wheels as well. Service is my only concern with the kubota, as I致e heard not so great things about local dealers. Exactly the opposite with Deere, I知 in a rural farming area and everyone speaks highly of the Deere dealership. Theoretically would only go back to the dealer for warranty work anyway. What do you guys think of these prices? Any more bargaining room? Other input? Thanks in advance

The 2 tractors are pretty close in specs, however. I have a 5055E version of the one you're looking at. I do not care for the 9f/3r transmission because: 1) the low gear is not low enough 2) the reverse gear is at the fast end of the 3 forward gears, I'd much prefer going slower in reverse than I was going forward. 3) the gears are to widely spaced and I never use any above 5th for the field and only use 8 & 9 for transport. I also have a smaller Kubota (23 hp) that has been pretty much trouble free for over 30 years, other than replacing the water pump. I like it's transmission much better, it's high/low and 4 speeds in each plus a forward/reverse lever with a lockout for 8th gear, providing a more useful set of gears for me. (I'm not familiar with the M7060)

Thanks for the input. I should have added I was looking at the 12 speed shuttle model but it slipped my mind. Most of the negative I’ve read about the e series Deere’s was in the earlier models, maybe they’ve worked out the kinks? Both are offering 0% for 5 years also, but I was told the promotional price on the Deere ends this month. Then to muddy the water even more, I found a new left over 2017 workmaster 70 lol.

No experience with the 5075E. But I bought my M7060 with 179 hours on it and now have 394 hours on it, absolutely trouble free. In regard to 3Ts comment about gearing, my M7060 is the 12 speed hydraulic shuttle and I too find the gearing to be higher than what I like. 1st gear on the M7060 is roughly equivalent to 3rd gear on my ancient John Deere 2020. One of these days I may have the optional creeper gearset installed in the Kubota to make it an 18 speed.

Never have understood why reverse gears are so high in so many vehicles. My Jeep Wrangler Rubicon can easily do 25 mph in reverse when in high range! Why??? I want reverse to be a creeper gear! My Yamaha Kodiak ATV has the identical problem; in it the belt drive suffers because I try to ease backwards slowly and that causes the belt to slip.

I like my 7060 with creeper 18 forward and 18 reverse, the hydraulic wet clutch and reverse gear are first in line.

I just put 50 hours on my M7060HD12 ROPS. I agree that the gearing is a little too high for tight stuff and needs the creeper option. Other than that, I like the tractor. General consensus was that they are reliable units. I took to the slogan of under 100HP, go Kubota. Over 100HP, go John Deere.

I have a 2015 5075e with 12/12 PR. MFWD. 520M loader. It has been a joy to own and operate very smooth going from forward to reverse. I don't doubt the Kubota is a solid machine too..

I sure don't like where the battery is on the newer 75e's. But I do bush hog some nasty stuff from time to time..
