I thought I'd post that I had my first regen over the weekend at 32.2 hrs. I've used my tractor almost exclusively for Bush hogging so rpms have been up over 2k. By my estimation I use it for about 95% cutting. Incidentally, I was using the E-540 function when the regen occurred so I was at about 1,800 rpm to equal 540 PTO. No problems to complete the regen which took about 15 min. When the regen started, there was some white smoke that came out the exhaust for about a minute. I'm assuming this has to do with the injection of fuel into the dpf to burn off the carbon. After that cleared up, I wouldn't know the regen was happening but for the light on the dash. The RPM hold compensation feature is great keeping the tractor at 540 PTO going up and down hills pulling a 3,200 lb cutter. :dance1:
I'm still impressed with the fuel burn rate for this size tractor. I believe it burns about half the diesel and does twice the work (pulling a 12' batwing cutter) than my previous 50 hp MX5100 open station with a 6' cutter. Considering my wife and I are now settled into our intended retirement property, getting a cab tractor and a larger cutter was a great decision for both time and comfort. :cool2:
