I thought I'd post that I had my first regen over the weekend at 32.2 hrs. I've used my tractor almost exclusively for Bush hogging so rpms have been up over 2k. By my estimation I use it for about 95% cutting. Incidentally, I was using the E-540 function when the regen occurred so I was at about 1,800 rpm to equal 540 PTO. No problems to complete the regen which took about 15 min. When the regen started, there was some white smoke that came out the exhaust for about a minute. I'm assuming this has to do with the injection of fuel into the dpf to burn off the carbon. After that cleared up, I wouldn't know the regen was happening but for the light on the dash. The RPM hold compensation feature is great keeping the tractor at 540 PTO going up and down hills pulling a 3,200 lb cutter. :dance1:

I'm still impressed with the fuel burn rate for this size tractor. I believe it burns about half the diesel and does twice the work (pulling a 12' batwing cutter) than my previous 50 hp MX5100 open station with a 6' cutter. Considering my wife and I are now settled into our intended retirement property, getting a cab tractor and a larger cutter was a great decision for both time and comfort. :cool2:

I have no hills to worry about so all I've ever used is EPTO - but then I'm not pulling a big batwing. Even at the lower rpms the tractor never struggles. Plenty of power. Don't really keep track of the regens - I see the light on in the dash but don't notice anything else as far as operation. And yes, I can work the darn thing all day long on only 5 gallons of diesel. Love that cab - sitting in there in comfort while the dust and bugs swirl outside just makes me smile! 320 hours on it now, no problems whatsoever to report.

I'm a little over 800 hrs, and track the regens. I've had 50 something so far, no issues, just a little annoying while doing close quarters work. They take about 12 minutes to complete. I'm in Central New York and use the 7060 throughout the long, cold, and snowy winter. The time between regens is longer in the warm weather, and about every 12-14 hrs in the winter with my usage, about an hour a day in winter.

Gear drive tractors are considerably more efficient than hydrostats.

My M9960 uses considerably less fuel to mow the same parcels with a 7' cutter than my L6060 uses to mow the same parcels with a 6' cutter.

Last week, I put over 5 gallons of diesel through my L6060 in a bit over three hours mowing with a 6' cutter. Yes, the cover was HEAVY and the 6060 is thirsty but it is also the right tractor for the job due to all of the obstacles. It is also a dream to operate.

My former tractor - the MX5100 was a shuttle shift with a turbo'ed motor - it was pretty thirsty for diesel fuel. The M7060 is also turbo'ed but much more efficient from my experience - it must be from the common rail direct injection. Its nice to get a 20hp bump with a noticeable reduction in fuel burn. Sorta like free chicken!:drink:
