I have a M6800 tractor that I am having some 3 pt hitch issues.Right now I have a 3 bottom plow hooked up but cannot use them since the last bottom is on the ground .Seems like The lift arms do not goe high enough.I have tried shortening up the top link but it does not really help much. The arms have to beable go higher than they do.Even a backblade does not go up very high.Any thoughts --Thanks. Ed

With no implement on 3 pt and control lever at rear of quadrant lift up on 3 pt draft arm. If arm moves up then feedback rod can be "CAREFULLY" adjusted for maximum raise height. With 3 bottom plow attached to 3 pt hitch center link should be attached in lowest hole on tractor center link bracket. This will give maximum lift and maximum draft sensitivity.

Where is this feedback rod located.I am on lowest top link setting. What do you mean by carefully ? Go slow or keep adjusting slowly ? Thanks

1st check by lifting on 3 pt draft arm to determine if 3 pt rockshaft isn't rotating up to it's limit. Feedback rod is attached to LH arm that's splined on rockshaft and it has a turnbuckle with a locking nut on each end. If turnbuckle is adjusted to far it will cause RS relief valve to go in bypass which could cause RS housing to CRACK!!!!!!!

Turn a revolution at a time ?Is that safe to assume andthen see ifthe arms lift more ?

Yes that's correct with control lever at the rear of slot with engine running. Listen for relief valve to open & if it does reverse turnbuckle nut until relief valve reseats.

"control lever at the rear of the slot"---are you referring to the 3 pt lift handle all the way up ? I think I found the feedback arm--about 5-6" long .

I can't answer your question as I've never peeked inside a M6800 WSM

Update: My middle arm was not in lowest setting but never mattered on my other tractors so i paid no attention to it.Also moved the lift arms to the 2nd set of holes.Seems to help. But when I take my back blade off I will shorten the lift arms, right now the stationary one shows about 2.5" of thread. My dealer does not even want to touch the turnbuckle.Anybody that has a 6800,how much thread is showing on your stationary lift arm ?
