m610 hydraulics jumpy

Just rebuilt a m610. Had ALL the hydraulic parts off and rebuilt one cylinder.

The lift and tilt are jumpy going up. Going down, even pressure down, seems better. There was LOTS of air in the fluid, very foamy, when I checked it. I added more and that helped some, but don't think that's the problem.

Is there a procedure for bleeding? I've cracked lines here and here and get a little spurt of air. The bucket is somewhat spongy when up, also indicating air in the lines. The fluid that comes out when I crack the lines is foamy as well.

I'm using 303 hydraulic fluid, is this wrong?

to get rid of air in the cylinders youre supposed to operate the rams to there full extent and keep operating them for ten seconds in both open and closed positions, however it sounds like your fluid is low or it is sucking in air before the pump somewhere.

Check all suction line connections, sounds like you're getting air through a connection. loose hose clamp, etc.
