Came upon this rare beauty..<font color=red>Farmall Super M-TA<font color=red><font color=black> for some reason the M & Super M were more in demand in this area.

TA stands for "torque amplifier". The torque amplifier is basically a auxiliary planetary transmission. If you started losing speed while plowing you shifted the TA and got a lower gear to pick up the load. The reason they weren't too popular was the added up front cost and they also broke a lot.
 
MTA is a misnomer, they were actually Super MTA's. They were only built for one year, replaced in 1955 by the 400 which was machanically identical except for the hydraulic system, sheetmetal and controls. M's and Super M's enjoyed longer production runs.
