LX266 Mower smells like gas?

Well I moved the mower to the carport and NOW I have found a tiny wet spot underneath and there is clearly some sort of leak in the fuel line or similar. There is gas seepage on the undercarriage of the mower and it would be leaking ontop of the mower deck if it was still attached.

I'm ging to have to take the seat, body, etc off and try to find where the fuel line is damaged...

I am getting closer!

With the help of a buddy (I needed at least 3 hands) I fixed the gas leak on Sunday.

The problem was the fuel line had cracked under the body, near the seat. It had dried out and about a 12" section in the middle was cracked like a desert mud flat...

So we replace the entire 5.5' of fuel line from the tank to the carb.

We also replaced the drive belt while we had the mower apart anyway.

This one got fixed finally.
