I know its not the season but I have a 3320 and a MX 6 mower. I actually bought the MX 6 for another tractor but would like a LX 5 for the 3320. The MX 6 is a little heavy for the 3320 when in big grass.

Any experience out there with a 5 foot chopper on the 3320 (or comparable 32.5 hp) and does anyone know of any out there for sale. I need the I-match. I know the LX is no longer made but thought there be a good used one out there.

I have a LX5 on a 4310 - which is 32 HP and it has no problem cutting anything.

I have an MX-5 on my 3320 and it works great. It seems to cut the field grasses cleaner than the LX I had on my 2520--I believe that MX series cutters have higher blade tip speeds and that helps get a "better" result in grasses. I don't think it is really that much better--so if you have no need for the extra "oomph" and brush cutting capabilities of the MX's then the LX-5 would be fine--you may even be able to go to an LX-6.

Kahuna - will the MX6 be up for sale?

My dealer has new LX-5s in stock still. Premier Ag & Lawn in Ennis, Texas.

I have a slightly used Imatch that I no longer use. Cat 1 version.

i've got an lx5 on my 790 28hp and have had no issues w/ power. i think if you were to try on cut at a fast rate of speed, you may start to bog down a bit in very heavy grass. i've run mine through some thick brush as well saplings and whips of 1in diameter and some thick briars, still no power loss although i was creeping along in 1st gear.

He has a MX6 now and is looking at going to LX5.

I have to say - you can put too much mower behind a tractor. My JD 2210 wouldn't handle a LX-4. That is when I knew it had to go.
