Lubrication additives for Diesel Fuel in older tractor

What can I add to older (1980’s) Diesel tractor to add lubricity to the fuel.
Have been told that Automobile Transmission Fluid or Two Cycle Oil (used in two cycle engines) can be used but I do not know at what ratio. (How much per gallon of diesel fuel?) Other substitutes?

I use Stanadyne products in my diesel fuel for my Generator, Tractor and Truck. I figure they should know what is needed as they make injection pumps and injectors.

I have used atf for years. It will help clean the system as well as a great lubricant. In my old (50 + years) systems I use a quart for 100 gallons. In my pickup it gets two to three ounces per fill. I literally have never rebuilt a fuel system for fuel issues.

Good question, I have used Howes Diesel Treatment for years. On road and off road . Good product.

Diesels are bad for soot and carbon. The marvel mystery helps clean out the soot and carbon on the valves.

Each product has an intended use. One product to lubricate, one product to clean make for a engine.

Good question, I have used Howes Diesel Treatment for years. On road and off road . Good product.

been told by my parts guy at K many truckers use Howes. but i can't verify
