LS WARRANTY

   / LS WARRANTY #11
All I know is so far so good as far as warranty. Just bought my new LS XG3025 and I only had 21 hrs. On it when I got a phone call from dealer saying they need to pick up my tractor and take it back to there shop for a recall inspection and possible repair. This was very cool cause they are 90 miles away. The issue was that front frame could be a couple of thousandths of a inch out of spec. , which could cause stress on engine block and eventually cause a oil leak at front main bearing cap/front crank seal area. Dealer said they had two engineers from Korea at there shop for a week or so to check all potential tractors. I said ok and come get it. Then I went out to my tractor and crawled under to check for leak. I found a slight engine oil build up at problem area. They picked up tractor the next day, worked on it for a day and brought it back the day after that. Engineers shimmed up problem area and said it should be fine now. They also checked out a couple other little things I was concerned about with no complaint. I hope this is the last thing that ever needs taken care of but I was really impressed with the service.

I have a J2023H that I bought about 3-4 years ago. It now has 400+/- hours on it. The dealer I bought it from treated me well for the most part( very slow at fixing things).
I had an electrical issue, tried calling dealer, no answer. I then proceeded to call LS, the lady said someone would contact me that day. After two weeks and no response from anyone, I called back and raise some H..., I asked to speak to her supervisor. She came back with so in so would be in contact that day. Sure enough a fellow called and informed me that my dealer was out of business as with LS Tractors. He told me to contact another dealer, so I called the next closest dealer, explained my problem. His question was, did I buy it from his dealership. When I told him no he said they couldn't work on it, LS gives them so much time to fix something under warranty and if they go over that time allotment the dealer loses money. He suggested I take it to an automotive electrical place for repairs. When I told him I would be calling LS, he then decided they could look at it.
Long story short, I fixed it myself, with help from a phone call to another dealer.

270 hours on my XG3037 and no warranty issues, but my dealer has been great to work with. Always willing to answer questions, provide me additional tech info, etc... If I ever have a warranty issue, I am confident he will work hard to take care of me.

I have the oil leak in the front since new, haven't heard a peep from my dealer.

I was going to pull the pan and add some rtv but if it's a main seal issue that's different.

Guess I'll be calling them Monday.

Gotta admit LS was awfully tempting, very impressive specs and pricing. I was wary of it being a relative newcomer with young nondiversified dealers in my area. But all these warranty shenanigans, oil leaks, and engineers here from Korea trying to figure out whats wrong with their tractors make me glad I went with Massey Ferguson

Hey, there will be problems with most things you buy. The issue is knowing there is support out there when something does happen. When I was shopping for a tractor I got more answers and more returned phone calls from LS dealers than any of the others and more willing to novitiate on sale price. And for those that may have oil leak like I mentioned I would definitely be calling dealer. Let us know how it goes

What year is your tractor? How many hours you got on it? I would definitely be calling dealer and checking up on situation. Let us know how it goes. How do you like your machine? I am happy as heck with mine.

It's a 2016 and I'm somewhere around 90-100 hours I think, I love the tractor and have no complaints other than the leak, which is a seep not a drip.

It still could just be the pan gasket, I may still pull it off myself to check.

It would be hard to sleep knowing my tractor wasn't home. :)

I have a brand new LS MT125 tractor TLB. Do I have to register the tractor with LS? It seems everything I buy I need to register with the "factory" to start and validate the warranty. Also how would LS get ahold of owners for recalls, updates or other reasons that the factory may realize needs attention after the tractor is sold and deliver?
Thanks for checking out my post here and I look forward to the responses.

Well I cleaned the pan off again, ran it for awhile, it's not leaking from the crank seal, must just be seeping from the front pan gasket.

I tightened up the bolts a little.

I called LS two days ago, left voicemail, called today, left voicemail......

Told them I just want to ensure my dealer registered my tractor for the warranty.

STILL waiting on a return call.
