That's odd to me, especially if they didn't want to stock T25s that have a Yanmar engine and that I assume doesn't have any emissions junk on it. My yanmar 226d has been very reliable. Always thought Yanmar engines were very good engines.

5) probably most important, what do you expect to do with your tractor? How much land, topography...point being is the T25 or CK2510 the right size for you?

I'm sitting on about 2 acres, half of which is turf and the other half is woods. However where there is turf we have a good number of 50+ year old trees. Land is relatively flat, but slight grades in some areas.

Here's a quick run down of what I plan on:

• Tree / Woods Cleanup
  • We've lose at least a tree a year from our yard or a neighbors yard
  • Sections of the property is a bit overgrown with honeysuckle from years of neglect that needs to be cleaned up
  • Moving around piles of old cut, rotten wood in bad spots around the property
  • Moving around firewood
  • Got a number of stumps to deal with
• General Lawn Maintenance
  • I've got a zero turn so not looking to mow
  • Mulch
  • Compost/dirt for raised beds
  • Couple areas need regraded where an above ground pool or play set compacted the dirt
  • Leaf cleanup
  • Aeration
  • Fertilizer spreading
• Snow Removal
  • We average about 100" of snow a year and my single stage blower isn't cutting it any longer since we moved to the other side of town with more lake effect snow
  • Thinking a 54" or 60" snow pusher
  • Concrete drive
• Then just general moving of stuff around
  • Need to redeck next year, would be a lot easier to move ~50 16' deck boards around back with the machine
  • Moving bins of seasonal stuff out back to the barn instead of carrying
  • Etc

In all reality I'd probably served just fine with the CS2520 / 254 type series, but given there is not much of a price difference it seems like it makes sense to buy the slighter bigger tractor to make sure I'll be set long term. We've been on the property for about 2 years now and don't plan on moving and I also plan on buying the tractor for the long haul so a bit overkill won't hurt I don't think.

The dealer in Longview is not someone I would do business with. I tried to order some Kioti parts from them and after two months of checking and them saying the Parts are not in yet, I called and ordered from Michigan Iron and had them with in a week shipped direct from Kioti. Still have not heard back from the Longview dealer. They never ordered although they told me each time I called they could see the order.

Seems like you are in about the right spot. Lots of folks here are well meaning, but like to spend money more than me.

Still have not heard back from the Longview dealer. They never ordered although they told me each time I called they could see the order.

Glad I dodged that bullet. They are the closest to me. They did have some turnover. When I went to look at tractors the guy I worked with was great. When it came time to order, the new guy couldn't be bothered to even put together a quote...weeks later (literally when I was getting my tractor) he sent me a note to call him...I wish our dealer would buy them and the Tyler place and make a small chain.

Our dealer does not need to buy them as he will have all their business soon enough. There is plenty of places Leon could expand if he wanted another Market but I would not purchase either one of those places. The Tyler guys are not horrible though but still like our dealer much better.

Locally (North Central Fla), the TYM 2515 was about $1500 more than the Ck2610.

I understand that for sure. But basically I don’t even consider having a dealer for my Kioti anymore. At least one I like doing business with. So an hour is not bad for me.

Shop around. A dealer out of central Florida told me that new dealers carrying the TYM brand get incentives from TYM that works out to being they are able to bundle the loader and bucket in the tractor's selling price such that you are getting those for free. But it is a limited time offering. That is how he explained that I was getting my tractor so much cheaper from a dealer in north Florida than what he could offer me, anyway.
