I also suspect the loader frame has to come off to install it - which would be a deal breaker...

Went by the dealer today and asked about having to remove the loader frame and they said no, so don't let that stop you! :thumbsup:

Same here. Heck, even if I could have gotten one of those models with a hydraulic shuttle, I'd probably have bought one. I really liked the U5020 and 5030 except for the synchro shuttle.

I know what everybody is saying about the hydro deal. I know I could have sold pile of the U series if they were hydro. But the new XU5065CPS has the power shuttle option now just like the P7040.

I am surprised that it's not available on the smaller tractors. I'm looking to get a tractor with backhoe and really like it on my 7030 but it's a no go on the G & R series.

No I didn't. He has some on order but doesn't have any in stock. They just got a delivery of new tractors that had my attention, but next time I'll inquire.

Okay, I've got a question for you ... and a little homework if you have a chance. I saw a picture of the new boomer 47 open station (can't seem to find any pics of the new LS XR4046 open station), and it also has the fuel tank in the new location, underneath the left foot area. The Boomer also had a seat with armrests built in.

Can you please find out if I would be able to retrofit the new style fuel tank into the current R4047 ? I'm wondering if it would require a different fuel pump because it's bringing the fuel up from a lower location. I could probably fabricate up my own brackets and mounts if necessary, as long as I could use the new fuel tank.

I'd love to free up that area behind the seat, and it would help me complete my cab project by getting that out of the way... right now one of the obstacles I'm facing is enclosing the rear of the tractor while still allowing access to fill the fuel tank. I've come up with a few working options, but it would be much easier if that fuel tank wasn't there in the first place.

Same goes for the new seat, I'd like to know if that seat would be available, and if so, a price.

I purchased the new xr4046hc and it has the lower mounted fuel tank, I'm away from my toy until next weekend but if you would like me to, I will take some close up photos of the mounting brackets, etc. let me know. Bruce

Yea I can sure do some checking. As far as the new fuel pump what you would be able to do is get a inline 12v fuel pump. The R3039 does have the electric fuel pump on it and it will work on your 47 cause it uses the same size fuel line. As far as the open station XR's they are going to have them available when all the R4041's are sold. They are getting pretty low on stock on them. The new boomer like you had seen will be the exact looking tractor. It will be the new model that will be replacing your 47. They are just doing a few changes to the length. The seat I have not looked at it very much. I will do some checking on the XR I have on the lot and see if it will bolt up to your 47.

The snow blower option on the J series lists for $3905 and is 50". The R3039 lists for $5905 and is 68". The R4041 and R4047 is a 74" with the HYD chute and lists for $7500. Plus you would need the Mid PTO option if you do not already have it on your tractor. Also on the J and R3039 you can get the HYD chute option which lists for $520. All the prices are MSRP. It depends on the dealer and the price of freight to determine the final price. I just seen a lot of people asking about the prices on them and figured I would throw this on this post.

As far as the EZ shifts on the R4041 idk why they are not making them anymore. I think just cause of the price increase with the Tier 4 they just decided to go with the shuttle and hydro and left the EZ shift go. I only have 9 of the EZ shifts out there and they have been really good for me. Plus if they ever mess up out of warranty you can easily convert them to a std shuttle.
