LS Tractor R4047H
Would like some feed back on the LS Tractor R4047H and the
U5030 I am thinking of buying one of them.

Welcome to TBN. You'd get much more and helpful replies if you'd post your question in the LS specific forum.

Bought a U5030 last April. Really like it. Don't have many hours on it yet but I think LS has a real winner here. It fills the need for a utility tractor very nicely. What makes it stand out and why I bought is because no one can touch the capabilities for the price. A full 3.3 liters, and a world class diesel in the S4s. 2900lbs at the FEL, and the tractor weighs 4300lbs and is a cat1/2 machine. With FEL its over 6K lbs. 16 speeds vs 12 for Kubota. Hope your comparing this to Kubota M6040 to get into this class of tractor, and the Kubota still falls short in many match ups. Much of what's standard is extra on other brands, two remotes, self level, quick attach bucket. The U5030 is a sweet machine. I say same or better quality then Kubota for 10K less. I think this model in particular is fantastic buy.

I got a U5030C at the end of April it been fine. It does have plenty more on it than the others even the CD player was included. All the outside lights, rear window wiper and washer weren't a option they were on it too.

Take a look at my post for leaking fuel tank. If you buy, make sure the dealer retrofits the tank to remove the skid plate that is bolted into the plastic fuel tank and bolts it to the support steel. Other than that little issue with lots of LS produced tractors(montana for sure) these tractors are great for power and options at a true low price. I really like the features and power on my P7010 which I got for about the same price as 50 hp in the big 3 brands.

Oh Miker, thats really painful to see. Hope it just needs dried out and fluids changed. How did you end up in there?

well it was my daughter trying to dig with back hoe and didn't drop the loader down. Well she never got to the backhoe. As soon as she stoped and put it out of gear, then stood up it started to roll back into pond. And it hydrolocked the engine and bent 2 rods. So she learned the hard way to put the loader down before she gets off tractor.:(

I have over 200 hours on my u-5030 that i bought in January of this year. The tractor
has done very well. The more i use it the better i like it.
Most of the hours were mowing with a fair amount of loader work also.
I just did the 200 hour oil and filter change with no problems.
The only extra thing i have done is tighten bolts, that have worked
loose, on the loader frame.
The tractor is very strong and easy to turn for one this big. The loader is
strong, easy to operate with smooth working controls.
Removing the loader is a five minute job, and just a little longer to put it
back on.
I do my mowing with the brush hog off for easier turning near fences
and trees. The tractor is stable on steep ground, which i have a lot of.
If it has a weakness i have not found it yet. If i do find a weakness i
will post it.

Of course I do my mowing with the brush hog on and the loader off.:laughing:

Man Mike. It's great to hear your daughter was helping you out but it's a bummer about the tractor. Hopefully no one was hurt.

Yeah no one was hurt thank god, she rode it all the way into the water.. i think she might have actully put it in reverse by mistake once it started to roll. But so far got my new rods back on last friday and have them installed and head is back on and oil pan , got the flywheel and clutch back on last night and hopefully after tonight will have engine back in hooked to rest of tractor.
