I see this a pricing / buying forum but I see ... no prices! Same all over this forum. Why is that? I have gone all over the web looking for a 2017 LS tractor prices and they all say, "Call for price?" I don't want anymore email! And I don't want to get ona mailing list!

What the heck is the big secret? Aren't they selling any?

Somebody PLEASE report a price for 40 - 40+ HP cab HS tractor! Your user name doesn't tell us who you are, unless you make it that way. Somebody please speak up. Sign up again and call yourself "PriceReporter1" and post something!

Mate. You've been here on TBN for over a year and you haven't figured out that tractors are different from vehicles/cars/pick-ups/Utes? That different regions have different transport/delivery costs?

That tractors bought in the Peoples Democratic Republic of Kalifornia cost more.

Instead of lambasting this website and disparaging the lack of prices displayed on the WWW... perhaps you should get your backside out of your comfy computer chair and actually visit a dealership or three. You know, talk to a salesman face to face... discuss what you need the tractor to do for you, what options and implements.

Crikey!

Very few dealers offer prices online. You need to get to the dealerships, look at and try out the tractors then get a price. As far as pricing on this site, lots of members have posted what they've paid for their tractors. Apparently you haven't searched enough. Be a little more specific on which model tractor you want a price on.

Seems to me nearly everyone here who has bought a new LS recently has been quite forthcoming with the prices they've paid, myself included. Not sure what it is you seek that is not already here. In the end, though, I think Randy's advice is best; get out and sit on some tractors and talk to some dealers. What I paid in Southern Illinois is not going to be the same as what you'll pay in Southern California. Prices even vary from dealer to dealer in the same areas.

Get out and shop, GregP27. It's the only way to know what you are going to pay.

I know this is an old thread but PJSprog is correct, I went through a $2,300 price difference on the same tractor from 4 different dealers. I drove 5 hrs to save some money. There is a dealer in Alabama or Arkansas that advertises free shipping anywhere in the lower 48 and his prices were good. I will find his link for reference for anyone looking.

Considering he advertises it as a "Tier 4 with no regen" which is incorrect, I'd question buying anything from them.

There are also some questionable reviews about them. Anyone seriously considering buying from them I would do some research first.

I used them as a baseline quote. I bought from a very small dealer in SC who told me his profit margin was very small and he just loved selling tractors in his retirement. Like I said earlier, he saved me 2300 before taxes from a dealer near me.

I am an LS Tractor dealer and I just wanted to clarify why we as dealers do not advertise our prices online.
LS Tractor (and most other brands as well) has a minimum advertised price (MAP) similar to MSRP; if we advertise a price below the MAP LS could pull our co-op dollars for advertising, or in extreme cases our dealership.
The reason we don't use MAP pricing is that we actually sell the tractors for less than that price, if you were to see $22,495 on a tractor that sells for $19,995 you are not going to call!

Also, if I could say something about Bruno's and other dealers like them:
While the prices may be very attractive if you guys keep enabling them it will put local dealerships like myself out of business.
And if they are 1000 miles away who is going to do your warranty work?
It's a free country and you can do what you want, LS Tractor is a great brand and you can buy it from who ever you like. Just take a minute before you purchase to think long term.

I am sorry that you think like that on warranty work. After contacting the factory, they told me that any LS service center will do your warranty work, if they won't ,call them back with dealer name. If I would have to worry about how you treated my machine because I didn't buy it from you, I would hope your dealership fails miserably

I bought my LS XJ2025H in February of this year, from the closest dealer at the time, about 70 miles away. In May, a larger dealer only about 20 miles from here started carrying LS. I talked to the closer dealer and he said he would be glad to do any work, warranty or otherwise, that I needed for my new tractor.

I did not take the dealers post as a refusal to do warranty work. I think he meant that if your local dealer goes out of business, he won't be around to to your warranty work.

That is how I read it also.

Yup, I don't think he was stating that he'd refuse warranty work, but that it's frustrating trying to compete with a dealership that only pushes tractors out the door, and doesn't have to handle any warranty work or service. Dealers don't make anything on warranty, and they don't to much "service" these days. They survive on sales.

Bruno's prices are good, but given the chance, I'd bet your local dealer would be able to do as well, and would sure appreciate your business, since that's probably where you'll go to test drive a tractor anyway. Even if it's less margin than they hope to make, it's a sale. And now you have a dealer who sold you the tractor, and has some interest in keeping you happy so you'll tell your friends. :)

I can confirm that TYM also prohibits dealers from advertising below a set price level, though a dealer is allowed to sell all the way down to zero profit if they want. Go visit a dealer. Drive a tractor. Find one you like? Work a deal. The longer a tractor sits on the lot, the better the chance they'll deal. After some time goes by, they have to pay interest on them, and that really cuts into the margin...

I bought an XU series tractor out of state on the recommendation of the LS area sales rep. The two dealers local to me had never sold an XU or P series machine, so he directed me to a dealer in Idaho that sells more AG equipment. The dealer I bought from beat Bruno's delivered price. I'm AG tax exempt, so going out of state didn't save me any taxes, but the quoted price was much better out of state. Being able to test drive a machine exactly like the one I ordered was priceless.

I did actually have a dealer tell me, "If you buy from X (and he named a specific dealer in SE Missouri), I will not service your tractor for you" on the basis that guys like that were putting established dealers out of business. In the end, I bought from neither of them. That "dealer" is a dairy equipment dealer who happens to sell a few tractors on the side, never more than one or two on his lot. I never would have bought from the Missouri guy anyway, but that attitude killed any possibility of a deal with the local guy. We bought from a slightly less local guy instead (about an hour away).

I just purchased a new LS XR4145H cab tractor 4 wheel drive cash deal from local dealer for what boomer 45 goes for without the cab and without the rear remotes.

Congrats, durf. That's the beauty of LS. You got the same tractor with more features at a better price.

/ LS Tractor Pricing #20
thats what I was thinking PJS. what the ****.. give it a shot since I have always preferred blue... and since LS is basically building the tractors I like anyways.. time will tell. but it looks beefy compared to the boomer.
