Ls R4047 Hydraulic strainer

While poking around last weekend doing routine maintenance , which by the way I found a grease fitting on the clutch fork shaft. huh , never noticed THAT before. Does anyone know where the suction strainer is ? I assume you pull the plate thats to the front of the suction line to access it but, when I think Im right , the Man upstaires shows me how wrong I can be sometimes.
Not gonna be chaingin hydro oil anytime soon ( 128 hrs on her ) but just for future reference.

Just looking again , the hydraulic filter is on the suction side between the trans case and the hydraulic pumps, but still wondering if there a primary suction screen inside the case ? Anybody ??
