Mowing LS R4020 MMM Question

When I went and checked out the R4020 at my local dealer, he said that there wasn't a mid-mounted mower available for it. BUT, when I was looking at the brochure later, it said a mid-PTO was available as an option, and also gave the specs, but no picture, for a MMM for the R4020. There's a good chance I misunderstood him or didn't ask the question right, because the gentleman is very straight up and knowledgeable about his products.

And on the website there's a LM4500 mower listed as available for the R series tractors, but it doesn't say if it's mid-mounted or hitch-mounted, and again, there are not pics of it.

Is there an LS expert on here that knows for a fact whether or not there's a MMM available or not for the R4020?

Also, if there IS one available, is it quick detach, or what is involved in removing it and then reattaching it?

And do you have to remove the FEL or any of its support framework?

Ok, yesterday I called LS on the 800 number on their website and talked to a nice Korean guy in the Sales dept. I asked him the questions in the above post. He said he didn't know the complete answer for the R40 series tractors, but he would pass my questions along and they would get back to me.

Lo and behold: at about 6:30pm, yesterday evening, I got a call from another very nice and knowledgeable Korean guy that spoke English well enough that a half-deaf old fart from Alabama could understand him easily. Here's what he told me:

Yes, a mid-mount PTO is available, but only on the hydro models.

The MMM will only fit the R40's with the curved FEL lift frame (these are the ones in the pics in the new brochure and on the website). The other style loader frame, made with two straight pieces of rectangular tubing with the angle or break in the middle, has a pair of reinforcement bars under the main frame of the tractor that would interfere with the MMM.

The MMM is NOT quick detach/attach. It takes about 40 minutes to attach the MMM and about 20 minutes to detach it. And it is not one of the drive-over types like some other brands have, but it has to be slid in and out from the side when detached. They recommend a dolly of some sort to make this job easier.

However, the MMM is very heavy duty and stoutly built.

Thats some pretty good info. One note on the curved loader frame.. I too spoke with the nice Korean guy regarding the "pictured model" The curved loader frame extends the bucket about 8 inches further forward than the "boxed look" loader frame. On the pictured brochure models, the loader joystick is mounted to the tractor, not the loader frame. If you look closely at a brochure, you can see the larger black control stick on the right side near the fender. I spoke to a tech at a local dealer last month. He attended a training school at the factory in NC. He stated that the newer versions will not be shipping to dealers until late Feb or mid March. There are still quite a few of the older models that need to be sold. There will be only some minor changes in the R series, mostly cosmetic. The name will be changed from R4010 to R4041.

I'm interested in a 4041 with the LM4500. I don't see any 4041's with the curved loader arms mentioned above. The brochure for the 3039 mentions a MMM, but the 4041 does not. The listing on LS's website mentions that the LM4500 is for the R-series.

What's the latest on MMM?
