Tractor
none
Let me try this a different way. I would like to know the pros and cons on this tractor. Thanks in advance!

dual remotes already installed
fully synchronized transmission
joystick mounted on fender vice way up on loader--- less stretch for short armed folks like me and allows your arm to rest on fender
rough seat

You can guess which of those are a con for me.

I love my R3039

Thanks altamaha for the reply. Looks like the seat is the only issue with this tractor.

Actually my only complaint with the seat is the fact it doesnt tip forward to pour water off of it.

Other complaint I have is the parking brake is unhandy.

No issues with my seat ---- what is the supposed problem with the seat??

I think some people find it uncomfortable - and maybe a bit cramped. I do know that my dad cant really drive my tractor - seat doesnt go back far enough, and his feet are too big to get around the pedals....

My seat complaint is actually two-fold; I can't get mine adjusted to where it does not bottom out at the slightest bump (would appreciate assistance if you know the solution), and it does not tip for cleaning or water removal.

Anybody have anything else to add on the R3038? Still trying to decide on a tractor. Thanks!

I had a fuel tank crack at about 50 hours --- dealer had one drop shipped to me. I donated my labor. Other than that, it meets my needs and I would say exceeds my expectations. I can bottom out the seat, but it takes a pretty decent bump to do so ---------

bsentryrich, thank you sir:confused:

Seriously though bluewater,
I have been mostly happy with my new 4041. I got a great deal on it and so far (minus some throttle cable issues---see my thread) it has done everything I wanted in the short 10hrs I've put on it in a month.

I had a ford 2120 w NH FEL before and it was seriously bulletproof from the time it was bought in '92 so still a lot of time to make up on 19 years of a solid tractor.

There is TONS of great information to guide you on here towards LS which led me to buy one and which will help you modify yours if/when you decide to buy one.

Cheers:drink:

That's all I was looking for. Opinions from owners of each one of these tractors. Thank you bsentryrich. See I can play nice!

bsentryrich,

The Ford/NH/Mitsu 2120 is a kick A tractor. There is one up here for sale for as much as I paid for my 3039! And I would really consider buying it, if I didn't have my LS. When I went tractor shopping, I looked at how 'sturdy' the various mfgs. made their machines. Out of six mfgs, LS beat them in every catagory.

Mad
You're right...bullet proof!!!

That tractor went above and beyond and I reluctantly sold it for various reasons a few years back. My 4041 has a lot live up to. If it can do 1/2 what that ford did, I will be satisfied.

I looked at kubota, JD, and NH before I bought and like everyone else on this blog felt I got more with LS than any other for the $$$. I was reluctant to buy Korean though I know my ford had a jap made motor just like LS.

Bottom line is time will tell for us all, but reading these posts nearly daily convinces me that LS offers a product that is competitive especially since many seem to have a tractor that is holding its own over the long haul.

Ultimately, we all have to listen to our gut (and pocketbook ) when we make these decisions.

Cheers to all and good luck with those choices! (cue George Jones)

Going to the LS plant/warehouse in two weeks to take a look at the R3039. I can't wait. I've already been to the Kioti plant and looked at the CK 35 so hopefully I will be able to make a decision between the two tractors.

The Kioti is a nice machine, however, you will find that the loader on the LS is substantially stronger.
