Low flow Gyro head?

Do any of you have any knowledge on the Low Flow Gyrotrack head?

I am thinking of purchasing one to put on a Tak TL140, but I have not seen one run yet. I think my LAST ASV is out of here, and I can't buy another Supertrak just yet. (Too slow, wife says no....)

If this thing works well on 5" and smaller, I can put on another machine for very little money. I know guys around here that have been running TL140's with Davco heads for 2000-3000 hours with very few problems, and it takes some of the burden off of their larger machines, not to mention burns way less liquid gold.....

Landwise, I am assuming you have been to GT's site and viewed their low flow head specs..

I am liking the weight !! 1200lbs..17 GPM min and 25 GPM max hyd flow...

I am interested in running this also but turning down the flow via flow controller on my particular machine...My machine spec is 26 GPM on the high flow but when i had my new engine installed they measured 28GPM...

Still awaitng CIMAFs low flow version too...same specs?? robbie/fred chime in?

Soon,Soon. 2-3 weeks before I have one here for testing. I have a tractor lined up so all I need is the little monster. I don't have the exact specs yet but as with our other heads we have a wide operating range so we can adjust to alot of different machines.
We have payed close attention to areas the others haven't and I think we'll have a head that is extremely capable on a smaller machine without any weak points.

Ok, now I'm back from holidays for good. I hope to have pictures of the new head at the end of this week, or early next week. Actual sales have to go first, unfortunately I wouldn't go as far as saying I'd rather not have other sales this week, but I sure long for seeing that new little beast ready to roll.

Alright boys, the baby lives, and it is hard to keep it's hunger satisfied. As of right now it's on a tractor suppling 20 GPM @ 3300 psi. It has a 59"cutting width and weights 2000 lbs. So far cutting with it has been great. High flow carbides are screwed!!! It has a direct drive motor so there is a weight savings and no belt. Most low flows on major brands are right at the 20 gpm @ 3000psi mark. You can use it like you want, the weight is just right. The only draw back is without higher flow recovery time is slower. But I have adjusted to that and with that in mind you can keep the rpm's up. But when it's at full song it has alot of inertia and keep's its rpm well.
I have mulched a variety of material and nothing has stopped it yet. You EASILY forget it's a low flow.
So now the fun part. As of now the list is around 25K. That doesn't include shipping or connectors. But you can easily make that up with the saving on the tractor. And at last check that is about where high flow carbides are. Give me 50-60 hp and I will take on the world, one tree at a time.

Low flow on a small machine is an ideal situation for alot of tight work and like Robbie said with our cutting technology and design a low flow head will still perform on par with alot of the Hi-Flow carbide hammers out there...its living up to all expectations!
