Tractor does everything I hoped it would. I have 25 hours on already and no real complaints. Tractor is a work horse for me. I got it with some implements and will be out to the Empire Farm days next week looking for a nice 3pt pallet fork setup. Need to be able to lift a ton of pellets and I think the rear fork setup may do it. I may have to put a cup holder on to hold my phone. That is about all I am missing. Tractor can push down decent size trees that are not rooted too deep. For the guys who want to know if the tractor can work real hard? I have no idea. I got out of farming in the 80's and just plain wanted a tractor at my house so this one will never see hard work. I tried for years to get the tractors out of my mind and made it this long and then the tractor won out. It will be on my rear snowblower this winter. As a side not this tractor does shift a little tough but does seem to be getting easier. For the price I think I have a great tractor for me.

The 1538 comes with two cup holders but I guess the price difference is a lot to pay just for the cup holders. LOL Enjoy your new toy errr ahh I mean machine.

Most of these tractors shift a little stiff for awhile.... just make sure it is all the way in or it might jump out of gear until she gets loosened up some. And enjoy...!!!!!!!! :) [ any consolation, I took everything off my 5035 to wax her right after I bought it back in 2011. Never put the cup holder back on.... ]

I had to settle a little bit to get the wife to go for it. Would have liked a tractor with duals all the way around but it would have taken up my whole lawn :)

I'm sure you'll learn to live without the AC, stereo, microwave and disco ball. But I'm guessing when you get that snow blower on it this winter you'll be wishing for a cab.

Congratulations on your new toy/machine.
Thanks for the tip on drink holders. I was planning a single bedroom with ensuite and a small kitchen on my new toy, but I reckon the drink holder will be easier to fit.
All I have to work out now, is how to boil water on the go, for my coffee.

All the bells and whistle that are available are the difference between being able to get a tractor and not being able to get a tractor. A cab would have been great for the winter but the price tag was just too much.

I know what you mean. I would have liked a cab but the cost for me was a little difficult to justify and I doubt that the air conditioner would handle our sometimes 53 degree C days. (or 127F)
On the few days where it does get up there, it's almost impossible to stand outside, even under shelter, for more than a few minutes.
An average summer day here is around 38C to 48C (101F to 118F), so air con would have been great, but the dollar will only go so far and I don't want to have to borrow from the bank.

I'm still amazed that the word "snow blower" gets into the conversation with 115* or more summer days. Was thinking that a cold day in winter there might be 58*. You guys got some pretty lethal snakes out there that I thought needed a kind of warm climate. Wait, aren't you in winter now?

I picked my 2538 up yesterday. I was able to get 1 stump down with 100 more to go.
