Lower seal in rotary cutter gearbox

I have always, in the past, went the grease route when a leak started, but I have to remove the stump jumper in order to remove some wire. I think I will just replace the seal while I am at it. Any tips?

Get your FEL and a chain. Grasp the cutter by the gearbox and lift it and tilt it till the bottom is exposed. Makes the job a lot easier and I guarantee you the gearbox can tolerate that weight and about 10x if need be.

If you are taking the jumper and the blades off just remove the gear box. Mine came off with 4bolts and made the removal of the seal alot easier and safer
