Looking to upgrade to a L3240

I believe it is just the open station that requires a split to add the mid PTO. Cab models came with the internal parts you just have to add the external mid PTO stubshaft.

Owned a L3130 HST and currently a L4240;great tractors and they turn very sharp.The Grand's have a lot of nice features.

Thanks, that's narrower then I was thinking which is good.

I don't live in Florida, my turf isn't as forgiving to aggressive tires, since I'm doing work for other people I can't really afford to damage their yards.
Even my B at half the weight tore up the grass with R4's.

Yes they do, I was looking at a nice low hr l3130 but I'd rather have all the additional features of the 40 series, even if it does cost me a bit more.

Yup I look at tractor data all the time also. To bad they don't list the actual width of the different tire options. That's what you guys are for!

Went and looked at it today, in good mechanical shape, cosmetically it has a but if fading from being outside/under an open lean too but I think I can clean it up. Needs a new RF tire but they aren't expensive, also hopefully will be picking up a set of turf tires tomorrow.

Have a couple possible glitches I want to look at like the parking brake light not coming on every time and the pto not showing engaged right away every time, not sure if that's normal or not. Could just be a lose connection.

Got home too late to play with it, just unloaded, took the bucket off and parked it.

Kinda regretted testing/playing in the dirt/mud right before loading it for the 300mi trip...........

Congrats on the tractor but your new rig has R4(industrial) tires;changing to turfs will involve a rim change and all four need to be changed(due to tire circumference and the 4 WD system).I assume it's 4WD.
