Looking for pto chipper--hard decisions

Brant - I really do appreciate your input and Thanks. I have a Mahindra 4500 and it is rated at 45 horse. Most of my chipping will be in the 6" range and green wood and I think that makes a difference versus dry wood. 7g's was higher than I anticipated but now I have a baseline. Sometimes dreams overtake reality.....

Clyde, it sounds to me like you are going to have a continual and ongoing need for this chipper. No matter how much you spend, you'll have to keep this chipper for a long, long time. Before buying, have you considered renting a chipper for a couple of weeks or a month to see how it works on your material? I see many rental places in North Texas that have large Vermeer chippers for rent. Most all of these are power feed models like many municipalities or professionals use. You could learn a lot about what the capacity of a chipper is by a single rental. They aren't pto models, but they will give you an idea anyhow. Here's a link to one for sale for $6500 with 400 hours of use.
Vermeer BC625 Chipper

...just a suggestion.

Clyde, we are in Texas also and have the Jinma 6" PTO woodchippers in stock as well as one hooked up to a tractor you can try out, they are the best value out there for the money. If you want more information or would like to demo one give us a call. You could buy two of the Jinmas for what some of the others cost, replacement blades are not that expensive either
