I'm thinking I'd like to ad some bolt-on bucket teeth to the Bush Hog FEL on my Kubota B8200. Bolt-on since I want to remove them for scraping, snow removal, etc., and since I want to minimize weight, this being a small set-up to begin with (48" bucket, rated at 670 lbs lift capacity). I haven't been able to find any teeth other than larger ones which would be more appropriate for a bigger FEL than mine. Anybody know where to look?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I just bought a set of woods teeth for the 2210 with a 49" bucket. They work great. Sadly, the only place I could find to get them was through the dealer. A call to your dealer should set you up. I paid $256.

Varmint,

Do a search for "Toothbar" here and you'll find more than you ever wanted to know about availability of something like this for your loader bucket. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You'd be farther ahead to make/buy a toothbar. Teeth are good for some operations and get in the way for others. I made a bar that attaches with two bolts, and it's simple to get on and off with a couple wrenches I keep in the mini-toolbox under the seat. Do the search Gary recommended. There is a ton of info out there.........................chim

I made my own toothbar for my Kubota B6100 for pretty much the same reason - commercial toothbars have teeth that are just too big in proportion to my bucket.

The story of my toothbar is in This Thread (includes pictures)

The toothbar has worked well for me for going on 2 years now.

See link below. You may be able to find what you're looking for through FFC Attachments out of Lee, Illinois.

Thanks guys; I shoulda thought of doing a simple search- this is a well-discussed topic, I see. I want to do this on the cheap, since my only need is busting up a big pile of ground up asphalt road material that has "hardened" over the years. My neighbor has the pile, I have the tractor, and we share a long sloping stone lane that always needs some fill here or there. A pick axe works, but it gets hot here in Merryland. Too bad it doesn't re-harden once I get it in the potholes.

I've never done this and am not recommend it, but... I seem to recall hearing or reading (here maybe?) that adding some gasoline to loosen/soften it then compacting the softened material will allow it to reharden in it's new shape.

I do know the 'gasoline to soften asphalt' part works fine from my HS days. My HS had three huge speed bumps installed in the school drive. Never before or since have I seen such high speedbumps. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

After some students had frames scraped and exhausts torn free even when trying to slowly climb over them, a few of us decided we needed to do what the administration wouldn't.

A few gallons of gasoline and some shovels and no more speed bumps. Of course, this had to happen twice more before a compromise was reached. The third time we took off just the top half of the speedbumps and tried to level it out as best we could. Still, the asphalt company came. This time when they left the speedbumps were at the height we'd left them and everyone was (relatively) happy.
