Have a Mahindra tractor that I finally got a fiberglass top for. Looking for a fan to mount behind the seat on the rops to try to keep me cool in this miserable weather. Has anyone done this and if so can you tell me what you used. I'm thinking about a 12volt car fan. Thanks for any help.

I mounted a 12V radiator fan just under my canopy and it blows downward. It works pretty good. I would suggest mounting the center of the fan slightly in front of your head when sitting in the seat. I will post a picture in a day or two.

I had one on a tractor with canopy a few years back. Also had one in open cab of excavator. Did help. Bought mine from NAPA.

We mounted a 12 volt car radiator fan on our zero turn mower. It is great. We mounted ours to blow on the back of our neck and head. Helps some on keeping clean air to breath also.

Do search for ROPs mounted fan, you should fine several ideas. Something like this works good. IMG_0388.JPG

Consider 12 volt muffin fans, very efficient and compact plus draw very little current.
I have 2 mounted in my cab and even the deer flies can't enter to bite me.
Generally they came in about 4" X 4" (1" thick) size.
Also very quiet.
Mine are on a swivel base so in winter they serve to defrost while in summer they keep me cool.

To mount on a ROPS you could use simple hose clamps (the type with rubber sleeves)
