Kubota BX 25 is probably your best price. Out here they sell for $16995.

Ron

I don't think its as simple as that.

The BX25 and The MT125 are very close in most respects. BX25 $16995 (I assume the price you gave was with the backhoe) MT125 $16516 (with backhoe)

Some of the advantages of the BX.....PTO HP slightly higher 17.7 to the LS 17.2, also BX is a little heavier at 1587 lbs compared to the LS 1444 lbs.

Advantages of the LS......Slightly longer 97" compared to BX 95.5 and wider 56" to the BX 55.1
LS loader lift capacity of 886 lbs , BX 745 lbs.
LS loader 50" wide, BX 48".
LS loader is SSQA (skid steer quick attach) BX is not.
LS uses a side by side pedals compared to the Kubota heal/toe. (This one personally is a no go for me, but thats all personal preference)

All numbers came off the manufactures websites.

I would recommend driving both but the problem could be finding a LS MT125 since they are so new.

Try giving Setaro Motors in Waterbury, CT. a call on the LS. I drove 300 miles to buy from them. Talk to Guy, he is excellent. I saved substantially. Saved over $600 just on sales tax.

I'm alittle disappointed with the LS financing as the website says it's either 0% and pay for loader or free loader and around 7%,,, my local kubota gave me the price of around 19k for bx25 with 20% down and then 0 interests,,, but I'd rather have the 2025 or maybe even mt125,,

I guess you need to consider what you are looking to do with it now and what you might want to do in the future. This is a long term investment. You will see it repeated over and over again here to buy the most tractor you can afford. If you can work out the 2025 might be happier and it is definitely a larger tractor and will do more than the sub-compacts, especially considering your looking at a backhoe also.

I know DLL financing will go out 84 months with no pre-payment penalties. I guess you need to work out the numbers both ways, 0% or the free loader and see which makes more sense for you.

Again, I recommend driving each tractor. If you can't find a MT125 then drive the BX25, at least it will give you a feel for the size. I think the Kubota 2601 would be compareable to the LS 2025. Pay attention to the layout including how the foot pedals on the hydrostatic models work. You will see 2 different types on the Kubota and the LS. Kubota is the heal/toe type and the LS is side by side.

Thanks everyone for all the input,, I guess I'm just going to take my time and do some more research and maybe I can save up a little more cash for down payment, I did find a local bank that has a loan for 2.34% but only for 66 months max, I like the interest rate but i'm trying to push payments out as much as possible to keep them low,,, so we'll see,, thanks again

I would recommend going with the xj2025. After having mine for a while I'm glad I did not go with something smaller such as the BX25.

Yeah that's definitely my first choice, I want the backhoe attachment, and I'm trying to get the largest framed tractor I can for around 20k,,,

I was just under 20K on mine with the BH, if I remember correctly. If you are able to buy from an out of state dealer you might be able to save on the sales tax.

I just bought a XG3025H so a 25 horse hydro unit. With a front loader, backhoe, finish mower, and 6 foot slider blade, and dual remotes with detent kit for 22,000 cash out the door. I looked at the J model and went with the XG due to the fact it had more weight and size to it. I liked the J yet i do a bunch of work with a box blade and grader blade. I have used both the box and grader and found i need to be in 4 wheel drive to get them to work well. i could fill the tires yet i also want to use it for mowing so did not want to add that much weight. Also went with the industrial tires, and can say they work well yet if you get into some mud the treads do fill quick. So i will be staying away from muddy stuff.
