Looking at pull type snowblowers

I grew up on a farm, and I only remember changing one on a baler. On sharp turns, you could hear the knuckles knock. Yet, only changed one PTO joint on all our equipment. Not sure this is a very big problem.
was that farm in an area that got heavy snow, and did you use a PTO operated snow thrower there?. it's really no big deal in warm weather, though..

So how many PTO joints have you had to replace?

Parts wear out/break. I bought my tractor to use, not fret about.

Back to blowers. Nobody here has a pull type??

Well, the pull type is very common every where but in the US, they works like a dream.

In order to find out more your going to have to visit www.plowsite.com. just keep in mind that you can forget about using them in deep snows.

Most normal tractors are able to move in quite high snow.

There was no way I was going to drive through this snow ahead of the blower. The snow was drifted so hard I bet I could walk on top with my small snowshoes.

So, I gave up trying to blow the very dense drifts and had the neighbor help......endloader.jpg

Well, that's a very small tractor with almost no ground clearance, on such tractors a pull blower makes very little sense, but on a normal, small tractor 40 to 80 HP with proper ground clearance there are very rare you can't drive in the snow.

And if the winter gets real bad, or the snow gets real deep one day.... you can call someone to come over with a front blower or rear facing blower to come dig you arse out. :)
