Update- CO of tractor I was interested in changed his mind and now wants to keep it till later spring, clean it up, change oil/fluids/service and then "raise price." So I am still looking. Today I drove past a used tractor lot- actually another dealer location that opened up. Their main place is about 15 mles from me,this new lot about 20 miles away-it is their rental and trade-in sales lot.
Have a bx24 and B21 on lot-both from their rental fleet. They did not know hours on the 24 but 21 has < 300. price for Bx24 is 21K,the B21 is 24K. He stated list new was 15 and 29+,respectively on these 2 tractors.
I dunno seems hig based on tractor hunting Ive been doing. am I wrong?

I'd have to agree that sounds very heavy in terms of price...Especially a rental. As the saying goes, no one washes a rental car. You really don't know what was done to these things...I prefer new for this kind of stuff, or at least buying used from someone I know.

As I stated prior, I paid around 17.5 for my 23 new.

Wow are these prices Canadian $? I paid 25k USD for my B21 new. Seems quite a bit high for either one.

5*am I wrong?
1* The B21 is not a Sub Compact.
The two tractors are not the same tipe tractors so aren't comparable.
2*You can buy a new BX25 for less than 21000.
3*The B21 is in a different class than the BX24.
4*And he's asking 6000 more for it than it cost new.
5*Nope!

Hopefully, you have a typo in the price of the used BX24! I hope you meant 12K and not 21K.
Something's wrong that's fer sure.

No typo in prices and that is US dollars. like I stated he told me the 31 retailed at 29K new and the bx24 @ 25K new. they both sounded high to me also from all the info searching I've been doing on these. This is the closest Kubota dealer to me, and I figured I'd stop and check em out. They looked clean and decent but I wasnt even going to pursue them after I heard price cause they definitely sounded high to me . but thats why I read thru this forum to get as much info as possible.

Contact Barlows Equipment for prices on what they have in stock or coming in from a trade they are doing.

Barlows is quite aways from me. but i did look at the prices they had on used Kubs and it is considerably lower then where I was yesterday,so guess a days drive each way that would save 10K might be worth it. what is major difference between a B20 and B21? h.p.? features, etc?

I can't understand why a dealer would give you that information when you can "build your Kubota" on Kubota's web site, and have the MSRP prices for all the new stuff. I would do that anyway so you are more informed when you go shopping. You will see the build feature at the top of the page on this link.

Kubota Tractor Corporation | BX Series BX1860/BX2360/BX2660/BX25
Good luck with your shopping, but be informed.

***I've never been to Barlows but they delivered my 2 tractors at the same time so I didn't have do do any driving.
****Different years I guess.

meant B21- my fingers dont always go where my brain tells em to.
I thought the prices he gave me were high also so I asked again just to be sure I had it right and thats what he told me . maybe they are a hot commodity here in western PA. if they are I'll buy some out of state and sell em here, I dont mind making 9-10K profit. beats trying to sell a used car
