looking at a JD 650

Any one have any input on a JD 650 2wd.I do not see any hyd. outlets can backhoe be put on this tractor. I would like to do some lite digging and trenching.I am shure this tractor will handle any 3pt implment I will use

whats the sellers asking price and condition?? A backhoe is possible I think but you'll need to get a loader.. finding a loader will be just as hard as finding a backhoe and then finding/buying the hydraulics to make it all work will be expensive.. I like the 650 but to put a backhoe on you need to look at a larger machine..

It'll be cheaper to get a package deal from someone than trying to piece together all the stuff.. small TLB's are out there.... just my 2 cents

The power steering kit,loader valve kit,and backhoe brackets are all obsolete NLA parts.I LOVE LOVE LOVE :laughing: my 650,don't get me wrong.However,if you puchase a 650 you need to be happy with it the way it is.Because there is no guarantee you can add anything to it,except 3pt attachments.I am not trying to discourage,just trying to "keep it real".

The 650 was my dads it is in great shape under a 1000hr always garage keep. I just have to rent a trailer and drive 600 miles one way to get it.I was hoping a 3pt backhoe might work on it.If a backhoe can not be added not shure if I would want it. I have looked for a used tracter with a backhoe no luck on any thing

Thanks for info I have a 318 that has been my work horse for six years.I have plenty of atachments for it. But I would like a little larger tractor for backhoe work

given the circumstances I'd say get it... being your dads I would'nt hesitate, it'll take time to get what you need for it.. even if you can't find a backhoe for it you'll certainly find other uses for it..

I have a complete Front-End loader for 650 JD I"m thinking about saleing,also thought about saleing the tractor to, the loader is off the tractor rite now, give me a line if you might want it,,e-mail- is rogerritesman@suddenlink.net,,I in Texas tho
