Depending on your local laws and regulations AND/OR if you have a business AND/OR employees you must get lifting devices inspected and certified at regular intervals.

Go to your local fork lift shop and buy a used certified lift. Surprisingly it isn't more expensive than buying from anonymous sellers and your a$$ isn't the only one on the firing line if something goes wrong and someone gets hurt.
Here in The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts...You "need' a license for everything..I don't think you can legally wipe your own ass without a $250.00 license fee from the state ...that needs to be renewed every year along with a 20 hour ongoing learning class...thats another 500.00 to the state...
