Looking at a 5085M, your opinion please

Sorry, this is a group with tractors with MFWD ONLY. HAHA :laughing: just joking, we all have tractors with certain needs. My 5085M got stuck 4 times already poor little tractor on his first year too.

Dang, thats a lot what transmission you got on yours i got the 16 16 PRT.

I think you made a great choice for your usage. I have it's baby cousin, the 5045D. These are heavy, tough tractors with a sure 'nuf wet sleeve industrial engine. It will be a great hay baling tractor.

I'm really envious of that cab.

Yes, I'm Green with envy. In fact when it comes to tractors, I'm Green period. Since I can't get an Oliver any more, JD is the only green one left.

5085m? got one thats now in 3 parts at my dealer...cab is off and it's split in half to replace a valve that controls the front wheel drive....been there 5 weeks...jd had to send a field rep to figure out the problem. this is the second trip to the dealer..the first one was to silence the hydro pump that was vibrating very badly and it wouldn't go in park. jd utility tractors ain't what they used to be but it's probably the best of the bunch...
