Looking at 2012 max 28xl

Hey guys been tractor hunting last couple of months, I found a 2012 max 28xl, 122 hrs, hydrostatic, with loader, the owner is asking $9900, which I think is a good price, I really want a backhoe attachment also, I called some dealerships and they are from $6000-$7000, and apparently the same backhoe that goes on the 2017 max 26 will fit this tractor also,,,, I was just curious on people's thoughts about this tractor and possibly backhoe set up, only down side is the typical faded to pink paint loader arms, which is ok but annoying, thanks

I'm not a max owner but have been following the Mahindra posts for some time. Most folks seem to love the Max. One person- I forget his handle- has done an awesome job documenting and educating folks about upgrading the curl cylinders on the FEL. I'm sure he and others will chime in.

$10k isn't bad considering the hours. Seems like the new ones are 15-20k with FEL.

Excellent price for a near new Tractor. That model is made by Mitsubishi and is a good solid dependable machine.

I've been trying to look at it if I end up going with backhoe best price I've found installed was $6300, so if i got the tractor for say $9500, I'd have $15800 into it and if I ever needed to sell it could I get that or close,, I see a couple on tractor house with tlb for around $16000,, so I guess not to bad of deal, but not as good as if like, plus that darn faded red to pink paint

Was really surprised what I handled yesterday with my L39 hoe. Thought for sure I would have needed to trample my excavator across our yard. Even a little hoe can do a lot.

Also just playing around, my little Max was able to roll the boulder over.

That's strange, mine is a 2011 3016, made by Mitsubishi, and it has no faded to pink paint.
