Tractor
Kioti CK20 HST
I've been a regular (lurker) visitor to this forum for more than a year and I thought it was time I made a contribution! I first found TBN when I was doing research about which brand of tractor to buy and I've been hooked ever since.

Earlier this year, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Kioti CK20HST with a FEL, Backhoe and a PTO-driven wood chipper. After agonizing about which brand/size/model tractor to get, I can say I'm extremely happy with the CK20. The HST is a great feature and it's so easy to use that it has given my wife the confidence to drive the tractor.

If I can figure out how to post pictures, I put on some pictures of delivery day and of using the chipper.

Here goes nothing...

Your 20 looks like the ideal woods tractor and your wife seems to be doing a great job driving it. Hope you have many carefree hours with it.

Hi Matt, the chipper works great on the CK20. I'm careful to set the RPM at the line marked for PTO work and it never bogs down. The chipper is a Wallenstein BX42 and will take a 4" diameter log or a slab of wood up to 10" across. The chipper is a real animal on the back of that tractor. In fact, the more limbs you put in the shoot, the better it works! I think it helps that the chipper weighs 400lbs and the flywheel alone is 135lbs with 4 blades.

I don't mean to sound like a commercial here but I had a 9hp DR Chipper last year and although it worked fine it was a mere toy compared to the one I have now.

I like the nice chips for mulching, too.

Yeah, she likes it. I hope I don't regret getting the HST for that very reason! She probably wouldn't have liked the gear model nearly as much.

On the plus side to her liking it is if she uses the tractor it may be easier to convince her to buy implements and :D maybe someday we can get his and her matching Kioti's!

Congrats and welcome...... Nice album from a proud tractor operator for sure. I purposely bought a ck30 Gear to keep the better half off mine, he, he. Though I try to encourage her to take it for a spin. ;0

Here's a pic of my wood reducer. A little too big for the 3pt, but beggers can't be chosers. Plus I mainly haul it with the Chevy, but it looks cooler on the Kioti don't ya think? Everything looks better on a tractor these days, can't figure out why that is.......

Welcome Greg, and i'm glad you posted about the PTO chipper, because i was wondering how well they worked. Some day i wish to have a PTO chipper, generator and a splitter. I hate trying to keep up with 3-4 small engines that sit for too long:cool: .
