I have been using my buddy's 27 ton troy built log splitter from Lowes. It has the honda motor. Its a great machine but it is very loud. I am thinking there should be a generator muffler that would bolt right on. Honda has the quietest generators so why not use that muffler on this log splitter? Any body already do this same thing? I dont want to "rig" up the splitter, it is new and looks great, so would prefer a factory look, not a 20' peice of pipe clamped over the exhaust, like we have done at the hunting camp.
any thoughts on back pressre, or other issues that might damage the motor?
