I'm picking up a used 3point wood splitter for the back of my 4047. Having never used one before, I understand how to hook up the hoses but not sure if there is something I am missing. How does the splitter get pressure from the rear remotes? Do I need to hold open the control lever for the remote with a bungee or something? Please forgive my ignorance and thanks in advance.

Unless your valve has detent, you have to use a bungee to lock the valve open.

Run your log splitter valve OUT line to tank.
