Log splitter hydraulics question

I have a 17-year-old Huskee 22-ton log splitter. Control valve broke at handle connection to valve body. Have ordered replacement control valve. My question is do I need to bleed air from system after installing new valve, and if so, how?

Just start it up and cycle the ram. It will self bleed very fast.
