Log Splitter for Mahindra 3510

Does anyone else have a PTO log splitter on their Mahindra? As you know the Mahindra has a rear hydraulic port. I read about open and closed systems and that the device need be matched to the machine. I am unsure. I got my Mahindra from a used equipment dealer 150 miles away. Hauling the tractor to the dealer is not an option really for me.

If you have a PTO log splitter, it would have its own oil reservoir, and pump, which would attach to your PTO on your tractor. If your splitter powers from your tractor hydraulics then I believe your tractor already has the hydraulic ports to operate it.

Yep, if you use he rear remotes, they have one at tractor supply for under $1k. I would just use the remotes. Know its not much help if you wanted to use the pto though.

I have been looking for a 3 point wood splitter also. In my research I would recommend a PTO driven one. They will provide a faster cycle time on the ram. Just my 2 cents.
