I lost the top half of two 250 year old oaks in a recent storm. The top of one came out, striking the second and knocking the top of it out.
De-limbed, cut up some for firewood. I sectioned off the larger pieces and skidded them to a pile to save for later use.

Anyway, had a great time skidding them on my L3200.

One thing I learned - bowling pin shaped logs like to roll if you take a corner to fast.
Yes, they will pull the back of your tractor around.
Yes, that causes a significant pucker factor.
Yes, I'm glad I used the integral drawbar for the tie point.

A tornado broke one of my old oaks at the 6' mark and laid it across the county road. After I had cut them into 6 foot sections, I used my pallet forks to carry them where I wanted them. It was easy with the forks.
