I think it would be a nice touch to offer a reason a thread is locked. The more Musings and Ramblings thread just got locked. The discussion was heating a house......

So maybe rather than slam the door on a thread for no apparent reason, how about a simple statement such as, "Heating house method discussion is not allowed on this forum"?

:confused3:

Now the MIG Welding thread has locked. Also for no apparent reason?

Where do I look to see who the Moderators are on any thread?

I didn't get it either. At least leave a post on the closed thread with the reason why it's closed, so the posters can be aware of what not to talk.

There is nothing on the first thread that warrants a padlock. Never been to the other one.

I don't see anything in the moderators' notes areas. I'll look into it.

Please do Moss, musings looks pretty tame compared to some of the other threads.
Thank you

The TBN mystery:
Someone has been able to close TBN threads and it is not a moderator and no one knows who it is?

Ha ha, Richard... yeah weird goings on.

And I was all excited to talk about locking threads, Loctite, crimping nuts, varying pitch diameter, and all the ways to do it!
