locked in gear

Hi I am looking for some input on a problem that has just occurred with my 53 Jubilee , I parked it and 2 weeks later went to move and everytime I let the clutch out it stalls , as if it is stuck in gear , also the shifter won't move , I removed the top off the tranny and cannot move anything , the shifter forks or any of the gears will not move , I jacked the tractor off the ground and the rearend seems ok as when I spin the wheels one goes one and one the other .i am totally perplexed as I just pulled it into beside my garage and parked it .
