Hi-will have a bumper pull stock trailer that I'm leaving in Arizona and wonder what recommendations or experiences you all have had with locks for the trailer hitch so it theoretically can't be stolen. Searched the site back 3 years but must not have put in correct terms as I could not find anything previously.

Whatever model that TSC carries that slides through the receiver and insert has a crummy (chrome) plating job ... began to rust shortly after I bought it ... although I have to say that locking mechanism itself held up and stayed functional.

If you are going to park and leave it, most thieves are pretty lazy. Taking the tires off will be a big deterrent.

I've used these Masterlocks for years. Removing tires a good idea. Ditto cable through wheels. If it has a heavy duty tongue jack, crank all the way up and remove the handle. Nothing is a guarantee but everything you can do to make it a bit harder to steal than someone else's trailer will be good.
