I had a very similar experience to Oosik when Inland Power did my 400 amp service install. Filled out request form, engineer showed up, made his measurements and sent me the invoice. I trenched from service entrance to just adjacent to junction box, set conduit sweeps and gravel at transformer location, granted Inland an easement. Crew showed up about a week later hand dug to the main junction and dropped in service feed, transformer base and case, set meter and had me backfill trench then turned on the juice. Very good experience.
