loader tractor valve

I was hoping to put a cessna valve from a John Deere loader onto a ford 3000 tractor. the john deer valve is alot smaller than the one off the Ford. Smaller inlet and outlet and spools. im guessing that wouldnt work ? what I want to do is put on a valve that would have down pressure on the lift arms. the one that came on the loader did not. Have changed the lift arm rams need a different valve.

Most 3pt lift arms do not have down pressure.

Did you add some external cyl to provide down pressure ?

As far as a valve, you need to match the flow rate in GPM to the valve flow capacity.

not 3pt fel origionally had one way rams

Utilizing a JD hyd control valve on a Ford would be determined by what model JD the valve came from. A lot of JD's are closed center which ""will not work on a Ford"" unless it was the type that was convertible from closed to open(vice-verse).
