VERY nice!

Do you have any detail pictures of the rear-to-front drive system? I'm guessing mounted bearings, sprockets and chain drive?

Yes, you are correct. It was tricky sizing the sprockets so that they would clear the drawbar and still fit with the guard between the 3 point lift arms.

Ah, thanks.

Last question: The main shaft to the front...did it come with splines for attaching the drive shaft?

No, the main shaft is a piece of steel tubing. I purchased some 1" keyed shaft from Surplus center, which was slid inside the tube. I used an adapter (also from Surplus Center) to go from 1" keyed to 6-spline PTO. This layout also gave me a nice surface to use with the pillow block bearing (see picture).

Thanks again.

I was looking at my Surplus Center catalog this morning and was thinking along the same lines.

Hello Lakesidenursery,

I'm interested in the design you used for the cab on your B2920.
Could you share some details and photos? Thanks in advance.

From you picture it looks like you have a 1 to 1 gear ratio, so as to not change the RPMs is that correct?

I have thought of building something like this to run a mower in front of my tractor.

How are you keeping the chain and the gears lubricated?

ps Great work!

From one engineer to another - that's a really sweet design! Well thought out solution to many challenging constraints. Plus the execution is top notch, done with craftsmanship and great skill. Probably a third the cost of an OEM front blower with much more vertical movement available and looks to be much easier to mount & remove. And all those new remotes will find other applications in future builds, I'm sure. I look forward to seeing what else comes out of your "lab".

That's a sweet idea for sure. I would like to have a ft blower on a ssq plate to still be able to utilize other attachments. Wondering about the chain size for my Massey 1742. Would have to purchase a blower to modify so my three point blower will stay intact. The building part doesn't look too complicated. Have all the equipment in the shop. Currently I'm blading a lot and blowing a little.

Just put a gas engine on that front blower, and save a pile in trouble, cost and ease of on and off.
