I have a ford 1710 with front end loader. Loader control has been slow and or erratic. Going up when in the down position. Does anyone have a hydraulic line schematic that I could review. I replaced all the o rings in the control valve. Still same problems. I think I would like to install new control valve. Looking for suggestions.

how about backpressure on the rod side plus a leaking pistoN seal?:)

I have same tractor with the ford loader. I have found when using the loader if the three point hitch is in the "full" up postion my loader reacts same as you are explaining. I move the three point hitch lever (located to the right of tractor seat) down, just a little (not even 1/2") from the up postion and loader will respond as intended. Would like to know if you have same results if you try what I have explained. I have a manual for the tractor I will check for the hydraulic line schematic you asked for and let you know if I have anything that might be of help.

yes. I do have to make sure that the rear Hydraulics is not all the way back. I was told that this is some sort of test position.
It is a Ford. I am not sure if it was made before NH bought Ford.

G'day i would do as mentioned earlier and check for a piston seal bypassing as this can lead to all sorts of weird operation.

I think you will find that the quadrant lever is back in the 'test' position. And all 1710's were labelled as Fords. They were out of production for 10 years before the New Holand name was used on blue tractors.

Now THAT is good advice!
