Loader has scraped up my hood!

No! Not true.

So I could not get any leverage with a wrench and therefore I hooked up my 6000 lb. hand winch to this 'U' hook and the other end around a small oak tree. I winched until I had maybe 2" of clearance between the U hook and hood at that point the left side of the tractor was slightly off the ground then left it for 30 mins. After removing the winch the U hook has 1" of clearance now.

Kubota must have welded on a U hook that was too wide??

Thanks for everyone's input. I'd like to get 2" of clearance but boy that thing is tough to bend.

It's a 3/8 diameter rod and will bend easily if you have room to work and a little leverage. Next time you have the loader off the tractor, use the wrench or a piece of pipe and you can bend the hook as far as you want. Looks like the gap between the rod and the hood is about 1 1/2 inches when the bar is parallel with the loader arm.

Removing the loader, then applying force with a pipe worked like a charm! What would I do without TBN (and of course by BXpanded accessories )!

I slid 3/8 air hose over mine after bending it. "Orange"

If your loader came that way, your dealer should have caught it and straightened out the rod. Glad you got it fixed and I hope those scrapes can be buffed out.
