Jeff, thanks for all the data. My loader has a 1600 lb lift and a 2400 lb break out force (so I read). I like the aluminum weight as I am not the strongest armed dude. I am thinking of the medium weight forks. I would like to be able to have debris and pallet forks as this would be the cat's meow, but dollars are talking. I am looking at a set on ebay by gc-manufacturing in Oklahoma for $149 (strap on). Hey, nice clean machine! I have some work to do.

Crazyal why do you need the rachet? doesn't the chain work sufficiently? Where did you get yours from?

zebrafive,

just looked at the payneforks aluminum and light duty. More pricey, but willing to pay if they don't continuously pivot on the clamp. Do yours work OK?

I don't own any, but like the aluminum option. They seem to be a leader in clamp on forks. I also like made in USA.
