Loader for Ford 8N

Built a complete loader attachment for a Ford 8N and shortened the Deere loader arms.
Note the full subframe under the stock 8N.

Thats the stock pump that came with the old loader. Not sure of the GPM but its fast and seems plenty powerful.

that would look great on a late 4cyl 4000 with one of the industrial axles. either light or heavy.. and the real power ssteering.. not that jinky cable setup.

Heck.. while I'm making a list, a reverser trans and an upgrade to a 192, with a medium sized 3pt hoe setting in the garage that was made to hook tot he existing subframe... hmm.. guess rops too.

Ok, I get it... But lets keep things in in perspective. My 75 year old father can't move things the way he use to, so we built a loader for one of the tractors he owns as a project to do together as well as some utility. Between his Deere B, the 8N and my old case 310b he can get plenty of work done. And if we need more I have an ASV PT-60 to fill in the gap.

This loader is less weight on the front than the original, but we have contimplated attaching a HD axle right under the new subframe, not that much work involved.

That's a really great looking design with a lot of excellent workmanship in it. I guess it's not a quick detach unit, huh?? Just kidding there. I have to ask though, why would you go to all that work (even though you enjoyed doing it) just to turn around and sell it????

Just making room for more projects. And yes the loader is built to be removable but the subframe stays in place.

How does it steer? both loaded and empty?

It steers the same as the stock loader, you need to start moving when you turn the wheel. Would be easy to add hydraulic steering to the subframe.

Wish I had the Dearborn loader you took off. Wish I never scrapped the one off my dads 8n ;-(
