I currently run a NH TC40DA for deer camp foodplots. I could use a bit more loader capacity to grapple larger boulders and logs. Does Kioti provide greater LC in a comparable hydrostatic machine??

Here's the kioti web site, it should answer your question.

KIOTI - run ahead of the pack!

If you only want a BIT more lift, have your FEL hydraulic PSI checked and get it adjusted to the MAX manufacturer's tolerance. I did this and it helped significantly in increasing my lift capacity.

Kioti's DK40SE tractor is equipped with a KL401 loader and the lifting capacity to full height @ piviot pins is 2,716.

I traded in a New Holland TC40 with a La16 loader because the customer wanted more lift also.
He said there is a night and day difference between the 2 tractors and loaders.

Thanks for the comeback. I will consider your suggestion. I may stop by Wallace's this Saturday if my other plans remain the same.

Be careful just 'stopping by' Team Wallace, don't be surprised if you drive away owning a different tractor. :)

Or, a new implement....this is what happened the last time I "stopped by". Actually I used this FEL 3PT mount today while cleaning up after felling some big trees and after planting some new apple trees. It came in very handy. A rake mounted on the FEL is much more precise and easier to control. I wouldn't rake a field like this but for landscaping and clean up it is great. Unlike a bucket, you can see right through it and also adjust the tilt to modify how aggressive a bite you want on the fly. Very handy.

So, the moral of the story is that you just never know what you will take home with you after a visit to Rick Wallace. But, bring a large vehicle...IXLR8 had to pass on this device as his car was already full. :D

Seems that New Holland loader would be a 260TL and rate
Lift capacity @ max. height @ pins, lbs. 1955

Provided I'm reading it right.

Does your FEL 3PT attach directly with the standard pins for a bucket or do you have a quick attach adapter? Who manufactures the FEL 3PT. It looks very usefull.

Quick attach. It is useful and so far I use it primarily with the rake. The other potential use would be a quick snow plow by using it with a rear pivoting blade. I cannot see using it with a box blade, plow, or many other ground engaging 3pt attachments. It also has class 2 and 3 receiver hitches built in so that comes in handy for moving trailers etc. A removable boom pole could easily be attached via the class 3 hitch. I'm thinking the class 2 hitch could hold an fishing pole too.

Thanks for the help. I'll have to double check the specs, but cause my tractor has supersteer, I believe the loaders different and has lower capacity.

I noted in your signature file that you have an Anbo grapple. Could the weight of that grapple be part of the issue? Your net lift with a heavy grapple and modest lift capacity could be frustratingly low. Do you notice the lack of loader capacity with other implements too?

Specs for a 16LA on a TC40 SuperSteer, from 2006 spec sheet:

Lift capacity to maximum height at bucket pivot pin 1995 lbs.
Lift capacity to maximum height at 19.7 in. (500 mm) forward of pivot pin 1545 lbs.
Lift capacity to 59.1 in. (1.5 m) at bucket pivot pin 2128 lbs.
Lift capacity to 59.1 in. (1.5 m) at 19.7 in. (500 mm) forward of pivot pin 1726 lbs.
Breakout force at bucket pivot pin 3254 lbs.
Breakout force at 19.7 in. (500 mm) forward of pivot pin 2470 lbs.

Numbers for KL401 loader are:

Lift Capacity to Full Height at Pivot Pins 2,761 lbs
Breakout Force at Pivot Pins 3,727 lbs
Rollback Force at 500mm forward on the ground 4,633 lbs

So, the KL401 is about 20% stronger. However, as the absolute difference in lift capacity for example is 766lbs, the weight of the implement could play a role too. For example, a 16LA with a light duty 300lb grapple has net lift of approx 1700lbs while the Kioti with a heavy 700lb grapple has net lift of about 2000lbs. That 300lbs difference is still an advantage for the Kioti but points out the importance of implement weight. I can never remember if the manufacturers include the weight of the standard bucket in their lift measurements and if they do then the net lift for both tractors would be higher as I did not subtract the 200-300lbs for a standard bucket.

I don't know the exact weight of my ANBO grapple, but it is a not their heavy duty model to save weight. I think off the top of my head that it is about 350# or so. I'll have to check the specs when I have time.
