Lk3054 charging

I have a lk3054 that when started battery voltage is around 13v and with idling it keeps increasing to 16+. At that point the charge light begins slowly flashing and voltage fluctuate between 14 to 16. Has a new regulator (solid state). Does this sound like a possible alternator when getting warm?

It sounds like a bad regulator. Why was the old one replaced? Same symptoms or something else?

Old one was not charging at all. Dash light on continuous

It might be a good idea to check your chassis ground(s) to be sure they are tight and making good contact. I've seen bad ground contacts cause unusual symptoms in a couple of vehicles I've worked on in the past.
